What should you pack for a trip to Belize?

Belize is full of diversity so it depends what you're up to! Headed for Caye Caulker? Then ditch those shoes for a start and grab your swimwear, sandals, loose and cool clothing (it gets hot hot hot) ,sun lotion and insect repellant. If you're feeling a trek in the jungle then bring along some long trousers and sturdy walking shoes too. When rainy season hits, it's worth having a light rain coat or umbrella to hand, so you can explore whatever the weather.

Is Belize safe to travel?

The islands, ruins and other tourist hot spots are geared towards foreign visitors and the locals are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Some places in Belize city are deemed unsafe so to be extra careful, keep on the roads a little more travelled! As in most foreign destinations take basic precautions, don't go flashing the cash and waving around that brand new iphone7 no one likes a show off.
