In addition to STA Travel’s normal terms and conditions, as outlined on the back of your itinerary, contained in your receipt or as an embedded link in your confirmation email, the following restrictions apply to your itinerary:
1. The Deposit Program is available only to students traveling on a University sponsored study abroad program.
2. Proof of acceptance into the program must be submitted either in person or by fax at the time the deposit is paid. We cannot accept a deposit or guarantee the price of your ticket without this proof.
3. Only STA Travel’s exclusive BLUE Tickets are eligible for this program. These tickets are more flexible and allow for a longer stay than the airlines’ normal published fares.
4. A non refundable, non transferable deposit in the amount of $300 will be due within 48 hours of booking.
5. Travelers must be in possession of an ISIC card at time of deposit. If they do not have one already, they can purchase one for $25 from STA Travel.
6. The price of your ticket will be guaranteed upon receipt of the deposit.
7. Once the deposit is paid, any changes to your itinerary (dates, routes, names, etc) will incur change or cancellation penalties as outlined on your booking confirmation.
8. Full payment will be due 7 days (seven) prior to your scheduled departure.
9. Failure to make final payment will result in the space being cancelled and returned to the airline. Your deposit will remain non-refundable and may not be transferred to a new booking. Should you wish to re-book, you will be subject to the price of the ticket at the time of booking. The original fare cannot be honored.
10. Any non-flight products, such as Travel Insurance, ISIC card, Accommodation, Rail Passes, Tours, etc. can not be held using the Deposit Program. These must completely paid for by credit card or cash prior to the normal payment deadline – this varies by product. See your Travel Expert for details.
11. STA Travel does not accept personal checks. Students may pay with cash, debit or credit card or bank/cashiers check for the exact amount due.
