Key Accounts & Groups Executive

Role purpose:
Key Accounts & Groups handle a diverse array of clients, from school educational trips to tailor-made sports tours to corporate incentive trips. They attend many travel shows, events and client presentations.
By maximising profitability, developing both the product and market, maintaining service level agreements and building external relationships through regular client contact, this is a fantastic opportunity to stamp your mark in a new area with huge growth potential.
Key areas of responsibility:
· Sourcing, pricing and selling tailor-made group products over the phone
· Managing a portfolio of group bookings and key clients
· To maximise and work to budgeted yield and revenue targets
· Monitoring and delivering expectations through core standards and best practice
· Developing the sales and exposure of STA Travel groups business through existing and new client relationships.
· Work with the Sales & Development Manager on providing potential new business leads and investigating commercial opportunities with existing and potential suppliers
Skills, qualities and experience:
· Proven track record in sales and service
· Excellent awareness of the product portfolio and STA Travel markets
· Effective communicator across all media
· A team player
· Enthusiasm, drive and persistence to maintain activity levels and achieve targets
· Thrives in a demanding and varied environment
· A very keen eye for detail
· Commercial awareness
· An understanding of CRS and booking procedures
· Group Travel experience would be a distinct advantage
