Fiji Islands travel guide
Prepare yourself to fall in love… not love in the sense of a romantic tryst, we mean you will inevitably fall head over heals, whole heartily, head spinningingly in love with these islands. Although you might well find the other kind of love too if you’re lucky… anything can happen here.
Fiji comprises 333 islands in splendid isolation in the South Pacific. It has escaped the evils of industrial progress, the incursions of dangerous animals, poisonous snakes, spiders and pestilent diseases such as malaria, and is home to friendliest people on earth. In a word it’s Paradise!
VITI LEVU
This is largest and most populated island and is home to the country’s capital city Suva and the main international airport in Nadi. Viti Levu has it all - vibrant cities, lovely little villages, beautiful beach resorts, cane fields, huge sand dunes and secluded waterfalls. Be sure to check out the Coral Coast which runs along the southern shores and is home to the world’s second largest reef.
THE OUTER ISLANDS
If it’s white sandy beaches, translucent waters, cooling cocktails and coconut trees that you’re after, then you have to get yourself to the Utopian islands that lie off the western coast of Viti Levu. Check out The Mamanuca and the Yasawa Island groups.

THINGS TO DO
> Learn to dive in warm, tropical water
> Go sandboarding on the Sigatoka Dunes
> Bathe in the Sabeto hot pools
> Take a sailing cruise
> Lie back on a perfect beach and do nothing
> Party all night on Beachcomber Island
> Ride a zip line through the lush tropical rainforest
