Become a Rough Guides Travel Writer

We've teamed up with Rough Guides to bring all you budding travel writers out there an incredible opportunity. There are two places up for grabs to send two lucky winners on a trip of a lifetime to Latin America where you'll write for Rough Guides... read on to find out how to enter!

Imagine being paid to travel in South or Central America; experience ultimate adventures, sample local food, view jaw-dropping sights and then write all about it. Sound like your dream job? Well, here's your lucky break!

We're seeking entries from talented writers with a passion for travel, who are prepared to travel to the depths of Latin America to see their name in print.

The two winners will be given the opportunity to write and update sections of the second editions of student favourites The Rough Guide to South America on a Budget and The Rough Guide to Central America on a Budget.

You don't have to have already been all over the world or be a fully fledged travel writer to enter! You simply need to tell us, in no more than 500 words about a place you know well.

Your subject could be a little town in Europe you've discovered on holiday, your home or University town, or a fave place you've travelled to. Far flung or a stone's throw, we'll leave the location up to you. Just be sure that it has that 'on a Budget' theme!
