Day 1-2 Delhi
Welcome to India's mind-blowing capital. What a great introduction to all things Indian - curries, temples, mosques and crowded bazaars.
Days 3-5 Jaisalmer
Unlike any other Rajasthani town, Jaisalmer's golden fort ramparts overlook the edge of the Thar Desert. Roam the dunes on camel back, experiencing the life of a nomad with campfires, traditional folk songs and delicious food.
Days 6-7 Jodhpur
The colossal Meherangarh Fort dominates the city skyline of Jodhpur, where alleys are filled with vibrant colours and bustling bazaars offer silver, antiques, woodwork and textiles galore.
Days 8-10 Udaipur
Chill out with a chai on any one of the numerous rooftop cafes offering spectacular views over India's most romantic town. Explore Udaipur's fun options from cooking and yoga classes to cultural performances and shopping.
Day 11 Jojawar
Deep in rural Rajasthan, stay in the small village of Jojawar, home to the tribal Rabari people and their herds of camels.
Days 12-13 Pushkar
This local market town draws desert tribal people for trade and is also a major pilgrimage site. It is hard to ignore Pushkar's spiritual vibe.
Days 14-15 Jaipur
The 'Pink City' has enough bazaars to keep you busy for a month. Visit Amber Fort, one of Rajasthan's finest palaces and catch a Bollywood film at the Raj Mandir. Bollywood rocks!
Days 16-17 Agra
Head on to Agra via the ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri and stay close to the world-famous monument to love - the Taj Mahal. Check out the Red Fort and even learn how to make a carpet.
Days 18-20 Varanasi
The sights and sounds of Varanasi are out of this world. Join pilgrims on the riverside ghats listening to hypnotic puja bells while watching sacred ceremonial rites.
Days 21-22 Kolkata
Known as the 'City of Joy' and once the capital of British India, Kolkata is a vibrant cultural centre and one of India's most frenetic, exciting and friendly cities.
