The sunny southern city of Aswan is our gateway to the rock temples of Abu Simbel. Get a glimpse of fascinating Nubian culture before we board our felucca for a magical sail on the Nile.

Days 6-7 Luxor

The superb temple of Karnak and the tombs in the Valley of the Kings are just a sample of Luxor's treasures. Take a camel ride in true nomadic style or bask in the afternoon glow of a beautiful sunset over the Nile.

Day 8 Cairo

Wander the fabulous narrow alleyways of the Khan al-Khalili bazaar, visit the fascinating Egyptian Museum or sit back in a local coffee house and watch the world go by.

Cross the spectacular Sinai Desert to stay in the shadow of the holy mountain. A morning climb to the summit ends with a panoramic desert vista to remember! Be sure to visit the legendary St Katherine's Monastery.

Days 10-11 Nuweiba

This coastal town is our base for snorkelling in the beautiful underwater world of the Red Sea before crossing into Jordon for a night in the resort town of Aqaba.

Day 12 Wadi Rum

Follow in the steps of Lawrence of Arabia and take in the extraordinary desert scenery on the way to Wadi Rum. Experience an overnight stay in the desert beneath a star-filled sky.

Days 13-14 Petra

Carved out of the rose coloured rock face, this is one of the Middle East's most spectacular destinations. Explore the imposing facades of its awe-inspiring buildings and tombs.

Day 15 Madaba

Famous for its beautiful Byzantine mosaics and Ottoman-style houses, Madaba offers a great insight into small town Jordanian life. Take a swim in the legendary Dead Sea en route. The buoyancy is a bizarre experience!
