You can get a work visa in New Zealand up until age 35. Start your Round the World in the South Pacific

with your work visa in hand. Work and travel at the same time - it's really easy to get part time or temporary work there. You'll see the country, meet great friends and be saving up money for the rest of your travels!

This month's STA Travel Expert is Emily D'Andrea What countries have you traveled to?  What was your most memorable travel moment or experience? What is your ultimate backpacking trip?

Emily has been a Travel Advisor at STA Travel University of Michigan for over 6 years.
Australia, Brazil, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, England, Fiji, France, Greece, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, United Arab Emirates New Year's Eve on Copacabana Beach in Rio.  Along with more than a million other people all wearing white, we gathered on the beach to dance, drink caipirinhas, watch fireworks, and welcome the new year.  We threw flowers out to sea as an offering to Yemanja, the Goddess of the Ocean.  We held hands with strangers and sang Bob Marley songs as the sun came up.  I cannot explain the overwhelming sense of peace, community and hope at this celebration...you've got to experience this one for yourself.  Trust me. It's got to the be the South Island of New Zealand complete with kayaking in Milford Sound, bungee jumping in Queenstown, glacier walking in Franz Josef, rugby in Dunedin.  Oh, and don't forget the Speight's!
