Explore famous beaches like Ipanema and Copacabana and sample the unforgettable nightlife.
Day 2-10 Rio de Janeiro / Parati / Iguassu Falls
Head south from Rio along the Atlantic coast to the quaint colonial town of Parati, famous for both architecture and beaches. Depending on weather conditions and the season, we may make other stops along this beautiful coastline. Parati is our kick-off point for the trip by bus and boat to Ilha Grande, perfect for relaxing on the beach and sipping caipirinhas. After relaxing on the coast, we head west to the awesome Iguassu Falls, where we spend a couple of days to take full advantage of the many opportunities and activities here, like an exhilarating boat trip.
Day 11-15 Posadas/ Montevideo/ Colonia
From Brazil, cross into Argentina and the city of Posadas. Explore some of the Jesuit ruins in the area before heading south and into Uruguay. After some time in the capital city of Montevideo, travel along the shores of the Rio de la Plata to the charming colonial city of Colonia del Sacramento. Experience the relaxed, pleasant Uruguayan culture before crossing back into Argentina.
