You have so much in common – we’re just making it easier and a whole lot of fun to connect with people just like you! You can check out everything you want to know about 193 countries around the world, get expert advice from people who’ve been there, get travel deals, upload your videos and photos, share your experiences, and more! Mayan Ruins, Asian Temple, French Café in Second Life
Join Second Life and get in on all of the hoopla that IS this online virtual world! We’ve opened our first virtual travel center, which is there to welcome you when you join, help you create your character, figure out how to move, and show you around. You can check out all you want to know about travel while cruising around and meeting fellow Avatars.
“Students don’t need a travel company to move them around in Second Life, but they do need someone to provide a ‘soft landing’ as they enter Second Life for the first time,” said Kristen Celko, vice president of marketing and e-commerce for STA Travel North America. “Our objective is to extend our support and services beyond the first world as Second Life becomes an increasingly popular gathering place and university classroom alternative for young people.”

Congrats Grads! Now What?
We’re proud of you. We know it’s been an incredible time and a ton of fun. We also know how to keep that feeling going. Travel, work or volunteer abroad!
This is the perfect time to have a really great summer and add some umph to your resume. You could improve your Spanish-speaking abilities with a language course in South America then travel before heading back home. Volunteer for a few weeks helping build up a community, assisting with endangered animals, improving the social skills of children, and so much more. Or, teach English in Spain then hop the train to explore the rest of the continent!

Being addicted to travel, we encourage you to seize great opportunities like you have right now to really dedicate yourself to doing something that’s ridiculously fun before you become tied down to a 9-5 (or 24/7 which is what you biz folks are looking at for the next 3 years. Y-ikes!)

Think You Could?
We have a challenge for you. On your next trip, do something really cool in each city you visit OR set a theme for the trip and stick to it!
For example, visit a major museum or a unique museum at each stop:
- Uffizi Gallery - Florence
- Louvre - Paris
- National Gallery and Tate Modern – London
- Pergamonmuseum or Gemaldegalerie - Berlin
- Vigelandsparken – Oslo
- Muzeul Satului – Bucharest
- Belgian Brewer’s Museum or Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate - Brussels
Our list includes art, artifacts, sculptures, and a replica 18-19th century Romanian village. Too cool! Exploring these collections can add tremendous value to what you get out of your trip. Plus, it’s always just really cool to say, “Yea, I’ve been there!”

If museums don’t excite you, see how many traditional foods or beverages you can consume during your trip! Here are some suggestions:

Test your stamina and try to climb some of Europe’s highest landmarks:
- tower next to the Duomo - Florence
- Hohensalzburg Fortress - Salzburg
- Eiffel Tower – Paris
Or, you could always vow to complete a pub crawl in each city you visit. To make it really interesting, see how many people you can get to know during these events. If you're more in the mood to shake your tailfeather, check out the hottest nightclubs at each of your stops! You’ll definitely have a hip trip.
