Reservations/Cancellations/Lost Passes

Reservations

When you buy a Kiwi Experience pass you will receive a voucher and have 12 months to start your trip once it has been issued.  Tickets are valid for 6 months from the first travel date or until the pass holder has traveled once over all sections of the travel pass.

Minimum departure days apply.  If you are traveling on a strict timetable then it is advisable to email Kiwi Experience or log onto their website and complete your own reservation before you arrive and reserve departure dates from each destination to ensure you arrive back in time to catch your onward flight.

To ensure your seat, make a reservation by phone, email, or visit the local Kiwi Experience office 7 days prior to your first date of travel. When you get on your first bus, your voucher will be exchanged for a ticket, and this will then be valid for 12 months over your selected travel route.

Travel reservations for each leg of your journey are required and should be made in advance of departure to help ensure a seat. Changes of confirmed travel dates must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure date.

Cancellations & Changes

All Experience passes are non-refundable with Experience and STA Travel.

All Air New Zealand and Qantas air tickets are non-refundable.

Any changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Should a passenger fail to show for a booked and confirmed departure from any point, the passenger's ticket will become void until a $50 AUD penalty is paid to reinstate the validity of the ticket.

Failure to show for an Air New Zealand or Qantas booked seat results in loss of ticket.

Tickets are non-transferable.

Transferring & Lost Passes

Kiwi Experience passes are transferable between sectors but cannot be transferred between people. A $25 fee applies to all transfers.  Tickets are not transferable.  

Experience and STA Travel assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets/passes. Upon proof of purchase, Experience’s office or driver/guide only will issue a replacement ticket, and a $25 re-issue fee will apply.
