Au pairs help with childcare 5 days a week and are expected to teach, play and take care of the children. Some light housework may be required as well. In return, you will receive an allowance, meals, and stay in a private room in the family residence.
Au pairs are matched with families based on compatibility and are given a guaranteed work placement prior to arrival in Europe. The host families are carefully screened by our local representatives and our partners will conduct interviews, check references and background police reports during your application process.
Placements are available in:
- France: Lyon and surrounding areas (between Paris and the south of France)
- Italy: Rome and seaside towns
- Spain: Southern Spain, Madrid
- Germany: Munich, Hesse
- Switzerland: Geneva
Requirements for an Au pair:
- France and Switzerland: Age 18-25
- Italy and Germany: Age 18-30
- Spain: Age 18-27
- References from previous childcare work
- High school diploma
- Intermediate level of language
- 3-month commitment
If you want to work longer than 3 months, you have to take language classes, which will qualify you to be on a Student Visa. Classes will be at your expense and must be taken for the duration of your stay.
