Ho Chi Minh City was called Saigon until 1975, when it was merged with the surrounding province from its position as capital of South Vietnam. People still use the name Saigon, though.

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam but not the capital (that's Hanoi). It's a city where you'll find skyscrapers alonside centuries-old pagodas.

We love the food here, which you'll find from street vendors, market stalls and restaurants!

And, of course, the museums here are extraordinary. The War Remnants Museum

Delhi
Delhi is a major cultural, political and commercial city.

For example, a walk through Delhi's Old City reveals some of India's most treasured structures and monuments, like Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in the country, as well as the Red Fort, which was the palace for Mughal Emporer Shah Jahan.

During your visit here you can enjoy foods ranging from local delicacies like Chaat and Dahi-Papri to favorite dishes from other regions of India like Rajasthan and Bengal to international favorites like Italian and Chinese.

From Vietnam you're bound for Delhi, India! Home to 17 million people, it's the second-largest city in the country and its capital.

Delhi's culture is influenced by its long history as the capital but also from the fact it's become a cosmopolitan city. You get a great mix of the old and new.

Istanbul
This city has had at least 14 names throughout history, including "Constantinople."

You can bring home a part of Istanbul by shopping at one of the markets! From here you're headed to Europe to the great city of Athens, the birthplace of Western culture!

Istanbul is the most populated of all European cities and the largest of Turkey.

It's rich in the arts, festivals, and history. A visit here is like a walk back through time with its medieval towers, Byzantine churches and Ottoman mosques.

Athens
Quick history lesson: the Parthenon (thing with the columns) is what you see here and it's sitting on the Acropolis (the rock).

Explore Greece by Train
The last stop on this "Cultural" adventure 'Round the World is in Rome and it's like we've saved the best for last.

Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world, which we are reminded of every time we see the Parthenon. This 5th century BC temple towers over the modern, social city we know today and is considered a key landmark of early Western civilization.

Athens offers an abundance of archaeology, theatre, sports and food! Plus, discover island life by sailing around such famous spots as Ios and Mykonos

Rome
The Colosseum dates back to 70 AD, hosted 50,000 people for gladiator contests, the theater, executions and other public events. Earthquakes and stone robbers caused the condition it's in today.

 Explore Italy by Train

A visit to Rome will expose you to the best and most influential works in art, literature, music, architecture, science, film, theatre...

As for food, who doesn't love Italian? Endless pizza, pasta and gelato!

Rome is located in basically the middle of the country so it's easy to explore the other famous cities like Venice, Florence and Milan! It's interesting to experience each city's uniqueness.
