London's Calling!

So, you're feeling London for summer vacation. Whether it's been on your list of places to visit, or you're thinking it's a worthy stopover on the way to your next awesome adventure, you've made a good choice. London is truly one of the most cosmopolitan, exciting cities in the world. From medieval architecture, to Tate Modern contemporary art, London has plenty to offer the adventure seeking student.

How are you going to get there?

Think a flight to London might be too expensive? That's not the case! Check out these great STA Travel deals on airfare. Depending on your departure city, a direct flight to London takes between 5-10 hours to touch down, so make sure you give yourself plenty of days in the Big Smoke to explore all it has to offer.

One of the great advantages about London in the summer is the weather. Though many people imagine London to be gloomy year-round, in the summertime you're more likely to find Londoners sunbathing in Hyde Park rather than holding umbrellas. Big Ben glistens in the sun, and nice weather often invigorates the city. Make sure you stop by a local pub to participate in the guaranteed great British BBQ.

Don't see your departure city on that list? No worries, mate! You can search your departure city and individual dates by clicking the orange button below.

Where are you going to stay?

Ok, so the flight's covered. Now, we have to think about where you're going to crash. Chances are after miles of sightseeing and a few too many at the pub, you're going to be interested in one thing only...a bed. Hostels are perfect for that.

Not exactly sure what hostels are? Well, hostels are communal accommodations geared toward those travelers who want to sleep on the cheap. You can get a private room in some hostels, but accommodation is usually dormitory style with several beds to a room, sometimes co-ed. Bathrooms and showers are usually shared among several rooms. Many hostels offer additional amenities such as a communal kitchen, lockers or baggage storage, Internet, TV lounge, or a tour desk.

If you're having bad flashbacks of freshman year in the dorms, then you probably prefer hotels. STA Travel has those covered too. Hotels vary around the world, and most are much smaller than hotels that you are familiar with in the U.S. If you're looking for something with all the amenities of an American hotel, then you need to choose at least a 3-Globe hotel. You can search STA Travel's wide variety of accommodations by clicking the orange button below.

What do you want to do?

It's no secret that the dollar is struggling against currencies like Pound Sterling (GBP). Obviously, that makes it even more difficult for American travelers to explore and experience everything full throttle. Check out our solution.
