Think Paris

Eiffel Tower at night

City of Lights

Have a summer romance with Paris! The most romantic city in the world is also one of the most outrageously fun cities for students. Although it is famous for shopping and romance, you don't have to have a mega shopping addiction or a significant other to enjoy Paris. The influx of immigrants from Africa and Asia has added even more depth to Paris, and now, more than ever, young Parisians are looking forward to meeting you.

How are you going to get there?

Think a flight to Paris might be too expensive? That's not the case! Check out these great STA travel deals on airfare. Depending on your departure city, a direct flight to Paris will take around 7-11 hours.

One of the most exciting yet intriguing fads to sweep Paris is Tecktonik dance. Nightclubs in Paris are crammed with people dancing in what looks like retro vogue'ing, only much faster and set to techno music. When you see Parisian youth performing this kind of dance on the side of the street, especially in the Menilmontant district, the words "culture shock" will definitely spring to mind. Learn how to dance Tecktonik and bring it to the U.S. You never know, it may catch on?

Don't see your departure city on that list? Not to worry! You can search your departure city and individual dates by clicking the orange button below.

Where are you going to stay?

Ok, so the flight's covered. Now, we have to think about where you're going to crash. Chances are, after miles of sightseeing  you're going to be interested in one thing only...  a bed. Hostels are perfect for that.

Not exactly sure what hostels are? Well, hostels are communal accommodations geared toward those travelers who want to sleep on the cheap. You can get a private room in some hostels, but accommodation is usually dormitory style with several beds to a room, sometimes co-ed. Bathrooms and showers are usually shared among several rooms. Many hostels offer additional amenities such as a communal kitchen, lockers or baggage storage,  Internet, TV lounge, or a tour desk.

If you're having bad flashbacks of freshman year in the dorms, then you probably prefer hotels.  Hotels vary around the world and most are much smaller than hotels that you are familiar with in the U.S. If you're looking for something with all the amenities of an American hotel, then you need to choose at least a 3-Globe hotel. You can search STA Travel's wide variety of accommodations by clicking the orange button below.

What do you want to do?

It's no secret that the dollar is struggling against currencies like the Euro. Obviously, that makes it even more difficult for American travelers to explore and experience everything full throttle. Check out our solution.
