Ok, we know what you're thinking. Tel-Aviv!? Yeah right! But hear us out. Tel-Aviv is becoming so popular because it's one of the liveliest cities in the world. The nightlife is unreal and varied, and the food is becoming popular amongst even the pickiest of foodies. Just picture it this way. Imagine your favorite European city, and throw in gorgeous Mediterranean climate and backdrop and you've got yourself a good picture of what it's truly like to be in Tel-Aviv.

Where are you going to stay?
Ok, so the flight's covered. Now, we have to think about where you're going to crash. Chances are, you're going to spend a lot of time around Allenby Street, where the club scene really gets going at around 2:00 A.M. After you're finished there, it's more than likely that you're going to be interested in one thing only....a bed.
Not exactly sure what hostels are? Well, hostels are communal accommodations geared toward those travelers who want to sleep on the cheap. You can get a private room in some hostels, but accommodation is usually dormitory style with several beds to a room, sometimes co-ed. Bathrooms and showers are usually shared among several rooms. Many hostels offer additional amenities such as a communal kitchen, lockers or baggage storage, Internet, TV lounge, or a tour desk.
If you're having bad flashbacks of freshman year in the dorms, then you probably prefer hotels. Hotels vary around the world and most are much smaller than hotels that you are familiar with in the U.S. If you're looking for something with all the amenities of an American hotel, then you need to choose at least a 3-Globe hotel. What do you want to do?
When you're in Israel, expect to be dealing with Israel New Shekels (ILS). Currency rates vary day-to-day so be sure to check the exchange rate before you leave to ensure that you have a good grasp on what you're spending. It's no secret that it's getting a little tougher to save a dollar in the good 'ol U.S. of A.
