The staff were so helpful, providing tips on the best places to go and general 'do's and dont's.' The hostel is situated a short five minute walk from the world famous Ipanema Beach and is the perfect place to chill after a long day soaking up the sun, or getting the party started with like minded travellers from across the world.

Started my trip in Rio here. A very good hostel with friendly staff and a great bar to meet new people. Met a lot here in my 3 nights and would have stayed longer if they wasn't fully booked. Highly recommend!

Cheap and cheerful but still had wifi and good free breakfast with plenty of optional trips to choose from or close to the beach to just chill.

The bar was always lively with lots of people, good music and a great atmosphere. they had happy hour offers were they dished out free chaiprinias and they also offered a relatively cheap evening meal for those looking to save the pennies as well as a kitchen that was free for the guests to use. the hostel is situated minutes from ipanema beach, a much safer alternative to copacabana and is also right next to an amazing juice bar! despite the dingyness of the hostel it self it was a great week packed full of activities organised by the hostel, including a very entertaining boat party!

The location was amazing - two minutes from Impanema Beach, which I thought was the best beach in Rio! Lots of nice pubs and bars around, a bit pricey, but nice to have a splurge. Che Legarto was definitely a party place, with so much going on! Most staff were really friendly and it has a great vibe :) Don't stay in one of the larger dorms if you want much sleep though!
