It was in a good location.

I have just returned after 9 months in Oz. I started here on their Work & Travel programme through STA and it has been awesome the whole time. When I first got there I was nervous but all of their help really helped me settle in as did the organised trips and nights out. They even helped me find work and gave me cheap deals on trips on my journey round the country! I recently needed their help again before leaving to sort out my tax returns and once again they were awesome. Would recommend these guys if you are looking to travel oz!!!

Das G´Day Hostel bietet Backpackern die Möglichkeit direkt in ihren ersten Tagen in Australien feste Freundschaften zu schließen und Sydney kennenzulernen. Wenn man das erste Mal alleine reist und dann gleich in so einer großen Stadt ankommt, ist ein Hostel das Beste was einem passieren kann! Das G´Day bietet die perfekte Lage - tagsüber sind die wichtigsten Attraktionen bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen, für weiter weg gelegene Ziele gibt es die Bahn (3 Minuten Fußweg), abends braucht man nur einmal umfallen und man ist schon im größten und verrücktesten Partyviertel Sydneys. Dennoch ist das Hostel relativ ruhig und sicher gelegen. Nach zehn Uhr kommt man nur noch mit einem PIN ins Hostel. Es bietet einen gemütlichen Fernsehraum für kalte Abende und einen überdachten Innenhof für gemütliche Abende wobei bei einem Bier oder Wein immer neue Freundschaften entstehen. Die Küche hat vielleicht nicht das aller neueste Equipment aber bietet alles was man braucht. Bäder gibt es auch genug und sie werden jeden Tag sauber gemacht. Man findet immer was zu meckern wenn man will aber wenn man sich dazu entschließt als Backpacker durch die Welt zu reisen, sollte man seine Ansprüche allgemein ein wenig zurücknehmen. Das Hostel war super, letztendlich ist man meist eh nur zum schlafen da und ich würde es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

I came with the Australian backpackers 6 night "work and stay" program and they were amazing in setting me up for my travels in oz! The hostel is really welcoming and has a great atmosphere with plenty of people from all over the world to meet! The staff at Australian backpackers were really easy to talk to and had an answer for all my questions! I would definately recommend this hostel and Australian backpackers to anyone who will listen!

Location is perfect, the team of the Australian Backpackers Work & Travel program is awesome and all activities are SUPER!! Harbour cruise was great fun, the group bbq delicious (kangaroo!mmmm!) and the information package is all you need to get started in Oz!! G'Day Backpackers is the ideal place to meet new friends and has that ''home away from home'' feeling!!!

Die Lage war ideal. Sehr nah zu all den Sehenswuerdigkeiten im Stadtzentrum Sydneys. Man konnte ueberall zu Fuss hinkommen und auch gleich um die Ecke einkaufen gehen und ueberall in der Naehe gab es die Moeglichkeit kostenlos Internet zu nutzen. Ausserdem war es auch nah zur U-Bahn Station, so dass man auch schnell und unkompliziert jeden anderen Stadteil erreichen konnte.

extremely friendly staff, good location, and cheap price; but facilities were very poor (all lights in bathroom were broken, no hot water, window in bathroom/toilets were permanently nailed up and could not be closed - pretty dodgy), rooms were also very dirty compared to other backpackers i've stayed at

The Work and Play package was really helpful when you're trying to find your feet in the big city. Also enjoyed the BBQ at the hostel and our Harbour cruise.
