Blue Galah International, Adelaide

I moved here for a 4 year working visa, and needed somewhere to stay til I got myself a place to stay. I ended up staying over a week, and am still here 7 weeks later, and still hang around with the guys I met in there, I feel like I've met some life long friends there. The hostel is bang in the city centre, the cheapest and best quality place to stay in the city. I was reluctant to leave. The hostel is good value, you have the choice of your own room or to share with others, there are ample cooking facilities, a bar on site and the place is clean too. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Adelaide, 25 minute tram ride to the beach, heaps of bars and clubs within a 5 minute walking distance, and there is a 24/7 convenience store below. There is also a balcony over looking one of the main roads in the city, and have spent many evenings sitting out there chatting and drinking with my new found friends and using the BBQ outside. The hostel staff are fairly friendly, and are always willing to help. The only downside is the bed bugs and the garish coloured walls!

Location of the hostel was perfect, it was right in the centre near everything. Shopping and sightseeing facilities were great. Hostel was relatively clean and quiet at night. My room was a bit dark and the kitchen was a bit small / stuffed but otherwise I have nothing to complain. I would stay here again if I went to Adelaide.
