The Staff at the Dive Center were superb!, couldn't do enough to help... very Friendly. The Instructor I had was top class and put me at ease whilst i was building my under water confidence, even got me through the Advanced course- all round a brilliant dive center!!

You live, eat and breathe diving in Koh Tao and I dont think that anything can beat that when you are just starting out or if you have found your calling. It really is the place to be.

After the commercial hubub of Koh Samui - Koh Tao was a welcome release. On the approach of the boat trip from Samui to Koh Tao everyone was on their feet, mouths open camera's out! It is what I thought Samui would look like - but Samui didn't deliver on so many levels. The sand was soft, the palm trees plentiful, the clearest sea, so hot I got a very nice tan, food was fantastic and so cheap as was the accommodation (although basic was endearing - but take a mosquito net!) complete with gecko's that eat the mosquito's so we became firm friends. No hot showers - but you get used to this surprisingly quickly! Master Divers the dive centre was top notch, really friendly guys very professional - and small groups so you get individual attention. Doing the skills in the shallows in Mango Bay surrounded by a big shoal of Sergeant Majors (Zebra fish) has to be a highlight - along with repeating the skills in deeper waters in a shoal of Baracuda! Ignore anything the guys selling dive packages say to you on the boat over about their dive schools - I'm very happy that I chose Master Divers and wouldn't have enjoyed diving in a group of up to 20 others - you'll become a better diver in a smaller group (plus it doesn't take as long to suit up and get in the water!). I don't want to recommend Koh Tao to you because I'm desperate that it doesn't end up like Samui - but I can't help myself! It's a beautiful little island, with very friendly locals (always offering you a taxi boat!) and the diving is an amazing experience. I was a female traveller travelling alone which I have done before - but it was so easy to do in Thailand, so many people doing the same thing - similar ages etc (except for Bophut Beach in Samui, where everyone is old and mostly German!) people really look out for you - I will definitely return, so see you there! P.s. I really like Germans (not sarcastic), thanks to Ben and Steffan (two young germans!) who really made my holiday a lot of fun! x

We weren't given the accommodation we had paid for because our booking somehow wasn't confirmed. We got their on a night where most of the town's accommodation had been booked because of an impending concert on the island. This meant that Masterdive were scrambling around to look for accommodation for us. In the end we didn't stay at their resort but and a hostel/hotel further away. Best part of the package was the diving, good value there. Can't really rate the accommodation as we didn't stay there. Best option would be to get to Ko Tao and arrange accommodation and a diving course there personally.
