Beachcomber Island Resort Fiji

Known as Fiji`s party island, the fun, friendly Beachcomber Resort, 17km from Nadi, truly revels in its reputation. Great value, the accommodation (just one enormous `grand bure` and several private lodges) may be limited but the list of activities is endless, from tropical fish-feeding to parasailing. If you like mice- this is the place for you

The good things about this place are few and far between. The dorms were literally infested with mice. The lockers had holes in them and the mice were free to make their way between the lockers. The max number of nights you should stay is two. We stayed four and we seen everyone come and go twice. It is called a party island, but that is only in comparison to the rest of Fiji. The island has one bar, it has the same C.D on repeat every single night! The best night to go is saturday night- it was the only night that it was anyway lively! If you are anyway scared of mice or have a thing about cleaniness then this is NOT the place for you.

Ich wuerde diese Unterkunft nur fuer Party People weiterempfehlen, da es nur eine reine Partyinsel ist. Das Personal war wohl das Beste an der Unterkunft.

Beachcomber is the party island however this isnt always the case. Beachcomber does have a range of room options from their massive dorm to really nice private rooms and beachfront bures. There are smaller dorms available here so if you have people who dont want to sleep with 80 other backpackers they can requst this. Also be aware that if people are here to party the house band doesnt play each night so you do have to time you stay here for when they are playing. The other negative is that you do need to pay for beach chairs and everything else here so this can be expensive.

Not a good mid week destination

Beautiful location and great food but definately not recommended for the middle of the week in February. The island was dead! Definately not the party atmosphere advertised. The dorm rooms were also extremely cramped and even hotter than outside. However the lodges and bures looked beautiful and worth upgrading to.
