Extremely disappointed with this hostel. After travelling 24 hrs to Sydney this was our first hostel that we had booked. Admittedly we were there earlier than check in and told we could sit and watch the films that were being played whilst we waited for our double to be ready. In the 2 and a half hour wait not a single person in the hostel spoke to us and when it came to checking in to our room it was the wrong sort of room which when we told them they also realised and said that there were no doubles for us in that hostel and we would need to go to the other hostel that they use. It sells it location as one of the main reasons to stop there but anywhere in Bondi will not be far from the beach.
good time for all.

I arrived in sydney, jet lagged! and surfside made me feel very welcome, there was a real community feel about the place. Its definitly a party hostel but also people get up early to surf and run. The staff helped get me set up in aus and were brilliant at getting me sorted on trips. I was only there for a couple of days but i would definitly go back.
