Adam has over 14 years of experience with STA Travel in the US in a multitude of different roles. Born and raised in Sheffield, England, Adam originally started with STA as a travel expert in one of our NYC stores whilst on a BUNAC work abroad program. Adam is now proud to say that he is on the world’s longest work abroad program having married and settled in the US. Driven by a passionate belief that travel truly is the greatest form of education with a genuine way of changing not only people’s perspective but their lives, Adam enjoys the challenge of raising awareness of the incredible travel opportunities available to student and youth all around the world and of course still loves getting out there himself whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Ian Kynor – Director, B2B Sales & Support
While attending school in the Land of Enchantment, Ian’s life changed when he participated in a BUNAC student work program in London. This experience ignited a passion that would become his current drive to provide the life-changing opportunity of travel to young people. Joining STA Travel in 2003, Ian oversees the account management, travel logistics, and strategy for STA Travel’s U.S. academic, study, work and volunteer abroad partnerships. Ian is also very proud to have the opportunity to share his passion for travel with his wife and two young sons.

Patrick Simmons – Director of Business Development
Patrick joined STA Travel in 2011 and has been in the travel industry for 10 years. Patrick has held multiple positions within STA and is now responsible for managing the Business Development team in the US. When he is not working, he is trotting around the world exploring, eating, surfing and meeting new friends.

Tiffany Harrison – Communications Manager
As the Communications Manager, Tiffany is responsible for all internal and external communications for STA Travel US. Previous to this, she was the Outreach Manager at GoAbroad.com for nearly four years, developing her knowledge and passion for international education and student travel. She is also involved with communities like the NAFSA Rainbow SIG and Tech SIG, and presents often on brand management and social media, online marketing, and methods for translating the student experience. When she isn’t dreaming of her next travel destination, she can be found obsessing about all things related to Jane Austen, Doctor Who, and Scotland.

Christine has been with STA Travel for a very long time (longer than she cares to admit because it makes her feel old!). She left briefly to work in Corporate and Leisure Sales for a major airline but came back home to STA Travel and has never looked back. Christine works with our University and Program partners in the West to make sure STA Travel’s business keeps growing and growing and growing. Christine loves helping US students to study and travel abroad because she truly believes these life changing experiences will help to make the world a better place.

Prior to joining STA Travel, James spent almost 7 years working for study abroad program provider, Semester at Sea. James’ passion is international travel and he loves to help others see the world! James works remotely in his Mid-Atlantic region and is based in Central, VA. Prior to that he spent time working in Kent, CT & Lakewood, WI. James loves meeting new people and enjoys spending time on college campus’s working with university staff to help them send their students abroad. James is a transplant and comes to us from London, England. He has been in the USA for more than 10 years and was privileged to became a US citizen at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello in July of 2015. He is married with two young daughters.

Daisy, based in Boston, MA, joins STA after working at Northeastern University as a Study Abroad Advisor. Prior to NU, she worked with students in England at a small study abroad campus. When she's not traveling, Daisy enjoys running (currently training for her second half marathon!), being outside, catching a game at Fenway and trying new restaurants.

Ashly has been with STA Travel since 2006 and in that time has expanded her travel knowledge by working in several areas within the business. Starting off in the Spring break team and then moving to the B2B team in Wholesale. Later to be offered the opportunity to develop and manage the groups department to currently overseeing both the Central and Mid-Atlantic Regions as the Account Manager. I have only seen a glimpse of the world so far including Costa Rica, Jamaica, Germany, London, Thailand, Dubai and Oman to name a few adventures and hope to continue to explore the world and meet new people.

Eric joined STA in 2003 at the ripe old age of 19 licking stamps and mailing hand written paper tickets. Since then he has held multiple positions within the company, most recently as the Account Manager for the South Region and self-described MVP 3 years running. Lucy has been with STA Travel since 2010 and is passionate about helping others plan their next big adventure. She was hit with the travel bug early in life with trips to Hawaii (loved the Zodiac) and Ireland (deserves the Emerald Isle reference) and is now a firm believer in getting her passport stamped at least once a year. As an Account Manager for the Western United States she oversees suggested itineraries for individual travelers to large group movements, and everything in between. Habib Huerta - Account Manager, North East Region
I’ve been with STA Travel for 8 years. I started as an agent in wholesale and then moved to Travel Help. After lots of traveling (UK, Thailand, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Fiji), I decided to put my big boy pants on and accepted the Corporate Travel Manager position. With some experience under my belt, I transitioned to Account Manager for the North East region, which includes CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, and VT. In my spare time I play soccer, watch sports, and binge watch Netflix and HBO. My proudest achievement: I’m THE reigning, back to back champion in the STA Fantasy Football League.

Krista Lane joined STA in March 2016, coming from the position of director of the Oregon University System International Programs Office, as well as the director of study abroad at Oregon State University. Before that, she worked for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad in various capacities. She graduated with a B.A. from Luther College in Political Science, Spanish, and International Relations, and with an M.A. from Portland State University in Political Science and Comparative Politics. She enjoys trail running, cycling, and planning the next hilarious and fun adventure with her husband.

David Sanderson - Account Manager, MSU
I've been the MSU Account Manager since January of 2016, but prior to that I’ve been with STA Travel for 10 years. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do after obtaining a degree in Communications in 2006. I stumbled upon a job opening at STA, and the rest is history. Starting as a travel agent in 2006, I transitioned to Travel Help in 2011 and continued to grow within the industry. I fell in love with travel, and all of the amazing experiences that come with it.
