Once everyone has been picked up in Tokyo, you'll make your way to Mount Fuji - the spectacular scenery of rural Japan as well as a stop in the Fuji Visitor centre will keep you entertained. After seeing the breathtaking panoramic views from the 5th station, you'll tuck into a delicious Japanese style lunch and then set off for Lake Ashi. Relax on a cruise across the tranquil crater lake, taking in its picturesque natural beauty then take an aerial cableway ride up and down Mount Komagatake to witness amazing views of Hakone National Park. In the evening, chill out at the hotel and even relax in the ONSEN - hot spring baths should be made mandatory in every hotel!
Take advantage of your Hakone Free Pass and use the city's public transit to explore the city. Then, head to Odawara station on a local bus or train to catch the world famous bullet train to one of Japan's most intriguing cities - Kyoto! Your hotel's conveniently opposite the train station so walk over, check in and then head straight back out to sample the city's buzzing nightlife. On Day 3, after breakfast (with hopefully no hangover) enjoy a fascinating tour of Kyoto, Japan's first capital city. See opulent Nijo Castle (or Ryoanji Temple if it's closed), the famous Golden Pavilion temple, and Old Imperial Palace (but on the weekend or public holidays you'll visit Kitano Temmangu instead). If you're dying to see something, definitely plan ahead!
