Day 1 Windhoek / Etosha National Park

Be picked up from your Windhoek accommodation between 8 and 8.30am and travel north - you'll pass through some of the country's best established commercial farmland and stop at quaint towns along the way, arriving at Anderson Gate by midday. Game drive through Etosha on the way to Okaukuejo, where you'll set up camp amongst the wild. Not bad! After dinner, the day isn't over just yet. You can see Etosha's big game at a floodhill waterhole - described as one of the best game viewing opportunities in Southern Africa - which is a minute walk away from camp.

Day 2 Namutoni region

A full day's worth of game driving awaits you today! On the way to Halali camp, stop off at several waterholes with amazing views of the massive Etosha Pan. Stop at the camp for lunch then it's off to another waterhole, complete with a swimming pool and bar. You're not staying here though - Fort Namutoni is your next home for the night.

Day 3 Windhoek

Be prepared for a long (but scenic!) transit back to Windhoek. Stop off in the small town of Okahandja, home to Namibia's largest wood carving market. Get stuck in or you'll be kicking yourself - these are amazing souvenirs to go home with! You'll be back in Windhoek by 4pm and dropped off at your accommodation for the night.

Day 4 Sesriem area

Be ready by 8am this morning - it's a busy day ahead! Travel out over the Eros and Naukluft mountains along scenic roads to the desert. Heading down from Namibia's central plateau by way of the beautiful Remhoogte Pass, you'll find yourself in open plains at the tiny settlement of Solitaire. Traverse over open grass savannah and farmlands before the terrain gives way to the immense red sand dunes of the Namib. Arrive into the camp at late afternoon and watch as the sun sets and paints the sky a fantastic array of colours.

Day 5 Sossusvlei

Getting up before dawn has never felt easier - these desert sunrises are something else! After passing through Sesriem, we head into the heart of the dune field, trekking the last five kilometres to Sossusvlei. You'll want your camera handy as the dawn's light illuminates the sky. Ancient mineral pans, stunted camel thorn trees and the chance of seeing a gemsbok or ostrich? Make sure those camera batteries don't die! Spend the morning in and around Sossusvlei (don't forget to see Dune 45!) then return to Sesriem for lunch. As the day beings to cool off in the late afternoon, take a short excursion to the dramatic Sesriem Canyon.

Day 6 Windhoek

After breakfast, make your way through the massive Gamsberg Pass in the Khomas Hochland mountain range - it's back to civilisation! In Solitaire, pay a visit to some lions in the N/a'an ku sê Namib Carnivore Conservation Centre, the perfect way to say goodbye to Namibia. You'll be back in Windhoek by 4pm and be dropped off at your accommodation. This is where the adventure ends.
