Tag 1 Yangon

Arrive anytime today. An arrival transfer is included. Today is arrival day so there are no activities planned. You are therefore free to relax and explore the city. Please try to arrive before 6pm for an important group meeting where you can meet the Chief Experience Officer (CEO) and the other group members. Please note that most nationalities requires a visa to enter Myanmar (Burma), please double check this with your travel agent or local Myanmar Embassy prior to your arrival. Following this we have an optional group dinner where you can sample some of the local cuisine.

Tag 2 Yangon (1F)

Transfer to the base of Mandalay Hill and visit Shwe Nandaw Kyuang (Golden Palace Monastery) which is noted for its intricate wood carvings and to Kayuk Taw Gyi Pagoda to view the huge marble Buddha. After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the jetty for the boat to Bagan (Nyaung Oo). The journey takes 7-11 hours depending on the time of year and water level. On board there is a small café selling drinks and light meals (sandwiches, snacks and instant noodles usually).

Tag 5 Bagan (1F,1M)

Tage 6-7 Bagan (2F)

Fly from Bagan to Heho, then make the short, two-hour journey to Pindaya. From here, pull on the walking shoes and head off for an overnight trek up to Yasakyi. The trek starts on a good path with some steep ascents, before passing through Danu villages. Continue to See-Kya-Inn village, through misty tea plantations, before the climb gets steeper. In Yasakyi, there is a large monastery which is tonight's accommodation, sleeping on mats on the floor, with ample time for exploring the area.

Tag 8 Yasakyi (1F,1M,1A)

Am Vormittag Flug nach Heho. Danach schnürt ihr eure Wanderschuhe und macht euch auf den Weg in die Hügel. Ihr wandert zum Kloster Yasakyi durch freundliche Dörfer und unglaubliche Landschaften.

Enjoy a breakfast at the monastery, and take in the peaceful surroundings. It's a wonder that the whole family will be able to enjoy within the quiet space inside the monastery walls. After breakfast, continue trekking with a magnificent view of the country below, as the views of Lin Lai Inn and Taung Paw Gyi appear as the walk continues. Continue via a well maintained road back to Pindaya. From here, continue by bus to Nyaung Shwe.

Tag 9 Pindaya (1F)

Von Yasakyi geht die Wanderung talwärts zurück nach Pindaya. Von hier reist ihr weiter nach Nyaung Shwe, dem Tor zum Inle-See.

Board a boat and set off down the canal toward the main part of the lake. Pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the leg-rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. Inle Lake is the land of the Intha people. These people are known as leg-rowers and as architects of floating villages and gardens. The life of the Intha, who originally came from the south of Burma, revolves completely around the lake.

Tag 10 Inle-See (1F)

Ihr erkundet den See per Boot und besucht die schwimmenden Dörfer und den Markt. Besucht die Phaung-Daw-Oo-Pagode und das Nga-Phe-Chaung-Kloster.

Following breakfast we drive to Heho airport for our flight over the length of Burma back to our starting point at Yangon. The afternoon is yours to explore the markets and sights of Yangon with plenty of time for some last minute shopping before our final night dinner together.
