The Himalayan Volunteering Adventure (2013)
This volunteering travel package enables participants to provide education, care and empowerment to the communities they visit. Working in local schools, volunteers offer much needed support to local teachers, adding to the children’s’ educational experience by instructing classes while helping to develop students’ positive attitudes about personal hygiene and school attendance. Working in local schools gives volunteers a chance to meet regularly with local children and their families. When schools are not in session, volunteers utilize resources provided to run independent classes in English and Math. Volunteers also teach at special schools for mentally challenged children, providing much needed emotional support and teaching educational and vocational skills.
This exciting travel program is based on a unique volunteer and optional travel combination concept where volunteers will provide valuable help in a needy community while traveling and relaxing at the same time! Interacting with the local community and participating in the life of the people is an enriching travel experience making it much more memorable and rewarding.
