  • Day 1 Alice Springs

    Arrive in Alice Springs at any time. There are no planned activities during the day, so check into the hotel and explore the town. Please try to arrive before 6pm for an important group welcome meeting where you can meet the Chief Experience Officer (CEO) and the other group members. If you arrive early enough, you'll have time to relax and wonder around the central base for the Red Centre.

  • Day 2-3 Uluru (2B,2L)

    Early morning departure to drive to Kings Canyon. Enjoy the incredible canyon with a short walk up Kings Creek before heading to Uluru for the night. On the morning of Day 3 awake before sunrise to watch the colours change over Uluru. An interpretive walk around the base of Uluru gives explanation about its significance to local people. Visit the cultural centre to get a better understanding of the area and learn about local beliefs and traditions through artistic impression. The afternoon is at your leisure.   • Day 4 Coober Pedy (1B,1L,1D)

    We depart Uluru early driving through the Northern Territory outback to The South Australian town of Coober Pedy, Australia's Opal Capital. The town is extremely unique as many locals live underground to beat the heat. Estimated travel time: 8 hours Travel distance: 724 km

  • Day 5-6 Port Augusta (2B,1L,1D)

    This morning we explore Coober Pedy, visiting a local mine - go fossicking, then we head south to the harbourside town of Port Augusta. On Day 15, we drive north to go hiking in The Flinders Ranges National Park, taking in the amazing scenery and the natural amphitheatre that is Wilpena Pound. Return to Port Augusta for the evening.   • Day 7-8 Adelaide (2B,1L,1D)

    Today we head south to Adelaide, travelling through the Claire Valley wine area stopping for lunch and wine tasting along the way. After the Clare it's an easy drive to Adelaide. The city offers plenty to do, opt to visit the Aboriginal Cultures Gallery at the South Australian Museum, home to the largest collection of artifacts in the Southern Hemisphere. Why not choose to hire a bike? Adelaide is very flat and cyclist-friendly. Another option is catching the tram to the oceanside suburb of Glenelg for lunch or walking down Rundle St Mall in the Adelaide CBD. Travel on Day 16: Estimated travel time: 8-9 hours (including stops and wine tasting/lunch) Travel distance: 372 km

  • Day 9 Grampians National Park (1B,1D)

    Early start to travel to the Grampians National Park, known for its abundant wildlife. There is plenty of bird watching to be done in the area and it's not uncommon to see kangaroos. We stop at McKenzie Falls and the balconies to enjoy a spectacular walk before arriving at our accommodation that evening. Estimated travel time: 6 hours Travel distance: 500 km

  • Day 10 Great Ocean Road/Warrnambool (1B,1L,1D)

    In the morning we visit an Aboriginal cultural centre. Receive a talk on indigenous culture in the area, giving you a perspective on how it might vary from other regions. Head to the Great Ocean Road to the seaside town Warrnambool for the night. Estimated travel time: 5 hours Travel distance: 350 km

  • Day 11 Great Ocean Road/Melbourne (1B,1L)

    Travel past some of the world's most famous surf beaches along the Great Ocean Road. Enjoy views of the Twelve Apostles and a rainforest walk in Great Otway National Park. Continue to the capital of Victoria for dinner and night on the town. Estimated travel time: 5 hours Travel distance: 350 km
