Volunteers will be collected at the visitors centre at 12 noon to be brought to the volunteer accommodation base. After settling in to sleeping quarters, the rest of the day is free for exploring, socialising, or a spot of R&R.
The work begins! Enjoy an early breakfast and transfer to the animal sanctuary by 8am. Your day's work will be varied and you will experience a range of duties which may include planting, maintenance and caring for seedlings (indoor activity for bad weather). You will also enjoy close contact with experienced and knowledgeable workers in the field! A lunch break including meals will be provided, with the working day ending at approximately 4pm. In the afternoon, return to the volunteer base for dinner and leisure time for the remainder of the day.

Spend the morning at the sanctuary before a 12 noon pick-up to return back to the visitors centre in central Punakaika.
