Day 1 Zagreb
Arrive at any time to this capital city. Check into our hotel and enjoy the city. Please try to arrive before 6pm for an important group meeting where you can meet the Chief Experience Officer (CEO) and the other group members. Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and has a very charming old city complete with cobblestone streets and medieval buildings. Check out both the upper town and the lower town to explore the city's culture and sample some of the local food and drink. There are also a number of museums to explore focusing on art, history and archaeology. If you'd like to explore this city, consider booking a night or two of pre-accommodation.
Day 2-3 Pag
Travel to the island of Pag for a couple of days of relaxation on the beach. Head out hiking, hire a bike, take in many water sports, and taste some great wine and cheese. At night, hit up Zrce beach with the group and experience Croatia's biggest party beach. During the summer, some of the beach clubs never close. For those in the know, Pag has a growing reputation as the new Ibiza. Estimated travel time: 5 hours
Day 4 Split
Croatia's second-largest city, Split is an attractive place famed for the Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the palace is basically a city within a city as Split has been built around these impressive Roman ruins. Enjoy a guided tour around the site. Also worth a visit, St. Duje's cathedral is said to be the oldest cathedral in the world, built around 305 AD. A climb up the bell tower provides excellent views of Split and the surrounding port area. For other spectacular views of the city, make sure to visit Marjan's peak. The area has nice hiking and biking trails for those that want to embrace nature and escape the port town. Estimated travel time: 5 hours
Day 5-6 Hvar
Located in the Adriatic Sea off of the Dalmatian coast, the island of Hvar is one of Croatia's most populated and scenic islands. Filled with sunshine, the beautiful island is known for its lavender fields and vineyards in the interior and detailed Venetian-inspired architecture in the towns. By night, hit the Carpe Diem Beach night club as a group to experience Croatian nightlife at its finest. Take a water taxi to get over to the beautiful island where it's located, complete with beaches and lush woodland. Famous DJs play at this club during the day and through the night. Activities abound on this beautiful island—hiking, sea kayaking, sailing, snorkelling or a hike to a unique underwater cellar with submarine window view. Popular day trips include visiting the Pakleni Islands, easily accessible by boat; these islands offer a great escape for those wanting to spend a day relaxing on the beach. Day 7 Dubrovnik
Known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' on the Dalmatian coast, Dubrovnik has been an important maritime town in the region for centuries. Surrounded by medieval walls, Dubrovnik is rich in history and an attractive city to explore filled with stunning architecture, museums and fountains. The best starting point for exploration is the Old Town, passing by Roland's Column, the Bell Tower and Sponza Palace. Stroll the Placa Stradun to get a feel for cosmopolitan life in the city. Make a stop at Big Onofrio´s Fountain where locals and tourists gather together at the well-known city meeting spot. A trip to Dubrovnik isn't complete without walking the city walls, 2km long, you can choose to take a tour or explore on your own. HIghlights along the city walls include Fort Minceta, Fort St. John, Fort Lawrence, Fort Revelin, and St. Luke’s Tower. There are 3 main entrances to the city walls, the principal one is located by the Inner Pile Gates. Escape the city on a ferry ride to Lopud Island, part of the Elafiti Islands and home to one of Croatia's most stunning beaches, Plaza Sunj. For some hedonism, relaxation and great music, check out the East/West Beach Club. It's one of the best nighttime party spots by night and attracts a good crowd during the day as well. Day 8-9 Bay of Kotor
Spend the morning in Dubrovnik, then travel in the afternoon to Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor, a region that is listed as a World Heritage Site. On your free day opt to visit to the city of Kotor, a picturesque town surrounded by a walled fortress built by the Republic of Venice. The city has a Mediterranean feel to it and the bay offers a stunning backdrop for the budding photographer. The bay is one of the finest natural harbors in Europe and therefore a fitting area to explore by sea kayak. Take an included guided kayaking tour, which is perfect for admiring the lush landscapes that surround you. If relaxing is more your style, the beaches of Herceg Novi offer a great escape. There are also local mud therapy spas nearby to test the natural healing properties of the area's sand. Estimated travel time: 3 hours
Day 10 Tirana
Check out all that the capital of Albania has to offer on an included orientation walk. Opt to visit the Et'hem Bey Mosque and Clock Tower in the city centre, or learn about Albania's rich history at the National Historic Museum. Consider travelling up to Mount Dajti by cable car to get a nice panoramic view of Tirana. By night, be sure to check out the lively nightlife. Estimated travel time: 7 hours
Day 11-12 Dhermi
Travel to the Albanian Riviera and the town of Dhermi. Enjoy an orientation walk around town then fill your time as you like. Explore the underwater sights while snorkelling or diving, tour the area by boat or just chill out on the beach. For those who prefer the terra firma, try hiking in Llogara National Park. While you're here, pick up some the best olive oil and honey you can find in the Balkans. Estimated travel time: 4 hours
Day 13-14 Corfu
Cross the border into Greece. Orientation walk to get your bearings then catch the sunset from Pelekas on your last night. Be sure to hit the beach and the clubs. in your free time, explore the island by horseback, visit some of the older churches and historic buildings found on the island or relax on one of its many beautiful beaches. If walking is more your pace, the Corfu Trail to discover the area by foot. Approximate travel time: 3 hours
Day 15 Athens
Depart upon arrival in the afternoon. Please book onward travel after 6pm. Athens is the capital of Greece, the founding city of the Olympic games, and a city of culture, science and commerce. From the colourful markets, to the ancient monuments, to the hustle and bustle of Plateia Syntagmatos (Constitution Square), Athens is rich with history and an important influence on the development of Western civilization. Named after the goddess of wisdom Athena, Athens encircles eight hills within its borders. The most prominent of these, the Acropolis, stands as the ultimate architectural and artistic expression of the ancient Athenian spirit. Athens is a growing city, engulfing its neighbouring suburbs all the way to Piraeus, the city's port and your gateway to the Greek isles. Approximate travel time: 8 hours
