Artists have always flocked to Provence—stick around for awhile and see why. This Local Living adventure sets you up in a charming and traditional house then leaves you free to create the perfect holiday. Wander lavender fields, visit vineyards, marvel at the Pont du Gard—it's your call. You'll share the kitchen and living areas with other like-minded travellers, and a CEO is there to recommend local favourites. Take it slow and fall in love with this seductive corner of France. The specific property and locations for this tour are subject to change.
  • Day 1 Avignon

Meet in Avignon then transfer to your home for the next week, located in Velleron. Dating back to the 17th century, our spacious, 3-storey village house has a large, fully equipped kitchen, summer garden complete with pool and covered dining area, and is very tastefully decorated. The back wall of the property is over 500 years old and is a part of the old city walls.

  • Day 2 Velleron (1D)

Dig into the included starter kit of breakfast essentials and local delicacies to start your day off right. Enjoy a dinner with local friends comprised of regional specialities prepared by a local chef.

  • Day 3-7 Velleron

Do as much or as little as you want during your time here. Hike the beautiful countryside, tour the lavender fields, sample local wines, participate in a cooking class, try paragliding and be sure to visit the daily local farmer's market. If you'd like to explore more of the beautiful Provence region, visit Orange's famous Roman ruins, Avignon's Papal Palace, Marseille's many historic and cultural landmarks or a French Riviera beach at Nice. Sample the delicious cuisine of Provence, which includes hot spices and seafood from the Mediterranean resulting in a greater resemblance to Italian, Greek or Spanish cuisine than traditional French fare.

  • Day 8 Velleron

    Depart at any time.
