  • Day 1 San José (1D)

    Meet in the morning in San José (at approximately 8am, but check your voucher for exact information) for your transfer to your home for the next week on the Caribbean coast. Share a fully equipped private home set on 2.5 acres of tropical garden and secondary jungle with a beach gazebo and outside deck overlooking a river, just a one minute walk to the beach. Enjoy an authentic Costa Rican dinner with some local friends in the evening. Approximate distance: 450km Approximate travel time: 5 hours

  • Day 2-7 Punta Uva

    Dig into the included starter kit of breakfast essentials and local specialities to start your day off right. Do as much or as little as you like from your tropical paradise home for the week. Set between the towns of Manzanillo and Puerto Viejo (about 3km to both), included bicycles will help you to get around during your stay. Opt to explore nearby Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge on a guided tour to look for wildlife, snorkel the Caribbean, visit the Jaguar Rescue Center, or indulge in one of the many adventure activities nearby like ziplining, rafting or surfing. Get a real local experience and spend the day visiting the Talamanca indigenous community. If that's too much activity for you, stay around Punta Uva and relax on the beach—the choice is yours. For a night of dancing, head to Puerto Viejo for the evening.
