9 days

There aren’t many places in the US—or the world, frankly—that can match the Deep South for charm, character and quirkiness. This 9-day trip pulls back the curtain on this unique part of the country by way of groovy Charleston, cosmopolitan Atlanta, sultry Savannah, the Elvis mecca of Memphis and other hotspots while serving up heaping helpings of colonial estates, Cajun cuisine, country music, whiskey and fun. It’s different down here. Way different. Come on down and git yer drawl on, y’all.
  • Day 1 Charleston, SC

Arrive to Charleston, South Carolina in time for an evening Welcome Meeting and optional group dinner. There are no included activities today so check into your hotel and head out to explore the city.

  • Day 2 Charleston (1L)

Enjoy a morning orientation walk of Charleston. In the afternoon, take part in a local "low country" cooking class with included lunch. Opt to take a historic house tour, visit the Charleston City Market or Folly Beach.

More excellent options for local food here like a real American diner from the 1920's, The Varsity. Opt to see an Atlanta Braves baseball game (when they're in town).

  • Day 5 Nashville
