The drives around the reservoir are worth the trip alone yet we will take our time exploring this beautiful place on small hikes through red rock cliffs in the lower half of the lake. In the morning, walk in the footprints of giant dinosaurs. Dinosaur National Monument is a great window into the past - into the lives of the late-Jurassic-period dinosaurs. Many fossils are embedded in a sloping rock formation that was once a sandbar on the edge of a large river. In the afternoon we continue our way towards Moab. Breathtaking views await us in the largest National Park in Utah, Canyonlands! It offers many pullouts with spectacular views along the paved scenic drive. Take a break and escape on to one of the many trails, providing an unforgettable Canyon Country experience that will last a lifetime! In the evening enjoy a gorgeous sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park before we continue to our last destination: Moab! In the morning visit Arches National Park, carved and shaped by eons of weathering and erosion. It contains the world's largest concentration of natural stone arches. Explore the park's viewpoints and hike to sandstone fins, massive balanced rocks and soaring pinnacles. The afternoon is free to explore Moab or for optional activities such as rafting on the Colorado River, mountain biking or take an adventure on a Hummer or ATV tour in the back country of Moab.
