You will be a part of small team of volunteers assisting the project staff to return Brampton Island National Park to its natural state. The majority of the work includes eradicating invasive vegetation, collecting and analyzing marine debris and conducting surveys on the coral reef. In your free time you will have the opportunity to snorkel the reef, explore the island and enjoy the local wildlife.

Kick off this voluntour by learning about and giving a helping hand to the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit who patrol the Zambezi National Park in Victoria Falls. Before leaving the ‘Falls’ there is time to enjoy the vast array of optional adrenaline activities in the area before going on safari in Chobe and Kruger National Parks en route to Johannesburg.

Lakonikos is perhaps best known as an important nesting area for loggerhead sea turtles in the Mediterranean and this project, with the help of volunteers, engages in daily surveys to record nesting activity and protects turtle nests from land predators, destruction and other risks.

The project also provides conservation information and education to tourists and the local community.
