Travel Guide

Rich, lavish, extravagant - all words commonly used to describe Dubai. Aside from the man-made Palm Island, underwater hotel and dazzling Gold Souk, old town souks steeped in historic charm, the quiet fishing village of the Bastakia Quarter and desert safaris are all waiting to be explored.

Things to do in Dubai

  • things to do in dubaiBurj Khalifa
Not only is Burj Khalifa the world's tallest building - towering above Downtown Dubai at 828m, it also plays host to the world's tallest performing fountains. Go down anytime from 5:30pm and watch the musical dancing fountains.

A souq is a traditional Arabian market, and you can find them anywhere. We recommend the Gold Souq in Deira or the Bur Dubai Souq - stock up on all those vibrant fabrics and jewellery!

Another impressive building, but not quite as tall as the Burj Khalifa, the Burj Al Arab is located in Jumeirah. Reserve a table at the Skyview Bar inside for some beaut sundowners, or save some cash and go opposite to Bar 360° for a good view of the Burj instead.

Soak up the ancient history of the region in the Al Fahidi Historical District - the perfect day trip to escape the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle.

Ladies, Dubai reward you just for being yourself! There's a huge selection of ladies days and nights in the city, whether you want to dance til dawn or just have a chilled one. Try Barasti, Zero Gravity or Nikki Beach Club. Guys, don't worry - you can still go (you just have to pay more).
